Doctor Jo Linmans processes your personal data, this being data that may allow you to be identified, within the scope of his/her activities. Our privacy policy informs you of which data we process when you use our website/webshop or when you have an agreement as a client or supplier with Doctor Jo Linmans.

Your personal data is protected and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, which entered into force on 24 May 2016 and became national law no later than 25 May 2018.

Doctor Jo Linmans is not responsible for the privacy policy of other websites and resources.

  • General personal information such as: surname, first name, email address, telephone number, address details, other data that you yourself have provided to Doctor Jo Linmans in the context of an agreement (date of birth, gender, bank account number, company name, VAT number, etc.)
  • Information to make a purchase, booking or request for quotation possible and therefore enabling the proper performance of our agreement and the related services (transactions and payment information, shipping information, booking date, etc.)
  • Information that we may receive within the scope of satisfaction surveys, complaints or other communications addressed to us by you
  • Information entrusted with the prior consent of the client to announce, present or explain achievements, projects or other elements

Data generated by one or more visits to our website are stored in Google Analytics, but always anonymously. This data can never be traced back to one person or organisation.

3. Why are these personal data processed and what is the basis for processing?

All personal data collected and processed by Doctor Jo Linmans are necessary

  • for the performance of our agreements in order to comply with statutory obligations,
  • to be able to inform you, for additional communication, and therefore to answer your questions via our website or by telephone
  • to be able to contact you, if necessary, in writing or by telephone for follow-up purposes
  • for marketing purposes, such as sending out newsletters or taking part in competitions, always with your prior consent and for which you can withdraw your consent at any time
  • for the general management of your account on our website
  • for handling of your payments

Personal data are collected on the basis of voluntary entry and sharing of data by the client him/herself. This happens

  • by means of personal contact from Doctor Jo Linmans on the basis of address details, telephone details or email,
  • via the forms and the fields provided on the website, such as: contact form, booking form, quotation request form, order form, profile or account with login, shopping basket.

The collection of these data is necessary for the performance of services by Doctor Jo Linmans.

Your personal data is kept for as long as is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with statutory, regulatory and internal requirements in this regard.

These third parties shall act within the strict limits of our instructions and are obliged to also always act in accordance with GDPR regarding the processing of this data. This way, we guarantee the security and confidentiality of your data.

6. Security of your data?

Your personal data will be treated confidentially at all times. We take additional organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data as much as possible.

The data collected by Doctor Jo Linmans via the website are secured by means of the following measures:

  • security using https:// (websites equipped with an SSL certificate),
  • security using a unique login with email address and password of the CMS system, software program, accounting package, etc.
  • anti-virus protection on the electronic devices used

Other possible additional measures are extra security using 2-step verification or an authenticator app.

7. Your rights in relation to the processing of personal data:

Right of access to, rectification of or addition to your personal data: you may request at any time to view your personal data, as well as to have clarification of whether or not they are being processed. You will be granted access to the data upon a simple written request.

Right to data portability: In certain circumstances, you may be entitled to obtain or transfer your personal data to another data controller.

In order to exercise your right, you should send your request in writing to  welkom@praktijkpolar.be with proof of identity.
